We have finally been able to enjoy some outdoor activities with the cooler fall weather! A couple of weekends ago, it was Josiah's turn to bring home the class mascot, "Ollie", from school. Josiah thought his owl friend would enjoy a ride on his bike.

We had planned for about a week to go camping this weekend. We told the kids yesterday morning before school, and they were super excited. I spent the afternoon packing and getting ready. Right about the time we were ready to go, Adam had an unexpected meeting, which set our departure back quite a bit. We finally arrived at the campground only to discover that it was closed!! Agghh! This was the first point we considered driving home and "camping in our living room. But, Adam knew of another campground on the other side of town, so off we went. By the time we got there, it was about 7 o'clock; we were all very hungry and ready to get settled. The man working the front entrance took his job very seriously and it took FOREVER to get in the park. So long that while we were waiting in the truck, Bella we herself all over Adam's seat....second time we thought about just going home. However, we persevered (mostly for the kids!), and finally made to our camp site.
A fire was quickly made, hot dogs roasted, and a tent set up. It was all worth it when Josiah said that this was the best day ever, and we fell asleep happy. :)

| bait crickets - It took some convincing for him to be okay with Adam putting a hook through the little guys. We started with the dead ones and the ones with missing legs. However, once we started catching fish, he was wiling to find the biggest one in hopes of luring a big one! |
