This morning we figured we would try to beat the crowds and get to the zoo early this morning. 
Each trip to the zoo gets more and more entertaining. As Josiah grows so does his vocabulary. This morning Josiah decided that he would add "zoo" to his. He also figured that today was a good day to make a ton of animal noises on our trip. As we walked into the zoo our little man saw a statue of a lion which inspired him to give his best lion growl. We heard elephant noises with the elephants, lion noises at the lions, and monkey noises at not only the monkeys but also at the gorillas. 
This is Josiah doing his elephant noise - not too bad for a one year-old!
Josiah fed the giraffe once with Daddy's help but was then a little intimidated by this animal with a very long neck and fuzzy lips.
The aquarium is still by far one of his favorite parts of the zoo.
Here is a clip of Josiah giving his best monkey sounds in the gorilla exhibit. He makes a great monkey sounds, but he's not so sure about the big "monkey" on the other side of the glass.
After running around for over an hour, this little boy was one tired puppy, but he had so much fun!

Josiah, you have great monkey sounds; and you were so close to that gorilla ~ the zoo . . . what a wonderful place to spend a Saturday morning! And to top it all off, you shared the time with your nana . . . fun!

PS . . . I especially enjoyed seeing the way that you're cutting your eyes at your momma in the picture where you're making elephant sounds. It looks like you want to make sure she is listening and approves :)
